I can see space, and...

I could feel the idea that you had, although the screeching sound felt a bit out of place to me. It does give a dystopian feeling, which is great if that's what you were going after. Also, some deep base in many parts would give the song a more full feeling and texture that I think is awesome.

Keep experimenting with this one; I see great potential in it!

zomgkerrie responds:

lol thank you! i guess with the screeching sound, i was really going for a mix between light and pretty, and just raw and gritty. i loved the extremes those two elements brought to the table. i really love the cellos i had thrown in there. thanks for the listen and review my lovely penguin!

Nice.

I like the idea that you have going on here, but the running sixteenth notes don't feel right in the piano. If you usedtasteful sycopation in the piano with sixteenth and eight notes, I could feel the grove going on better.

Keep it up!

<PS>

zomgkerrie responds:

yea, i agree that i could definitely fine tune the piano part! i was going more for light accent notes, but i think the balance is off and they were taking over the melody. i will have to try the syncopation. that would make it really funkay!!! lol. thanks for listening and reviewing!!!

Yeah!

I can see this going loop becoming a song of pure awesomeness!!!!

The beat is perfect, the effects priceless, and melody enchanting. I can't give this a 10 yet because I can only feel this as the beginning on the song and maybe a variation of it used as a transition.

Keep up the amazing work!!!

zomgkerrie responds:

I <3 you, penguin sam! i will try hard to turn this into a song. i wasn't happy with how my songs were turning out so i thought i could make a shorter loop more quality, since my free time is limited. i will keep working on it! i'm glad you like it!!!! i could definitely see a drum break with the bass line in there somewhere haha!

BEEP BOOP...BEEP...WOOSH WEEP...click...AAAAH!!!

I am highly impressed with this song. I feel like a robot army is taking control, with their awesome beat!!! Man, this song is great!!! It definitly belong in the Industrial catagory, you even said it yourself! :p I really like this one, keep it up!!!!!!!

BEEP BOOP WEEP WIZZLE WIZZLE TICK TOCK AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

<PS>

zomgkerrie responds:

heehee thanks for reviewing my lovely penguin! yea i should have put it in the industrial category. i overthought it i think lol. yea, i can def. hear the treblely sound in it now, relistening to it.....thanks for the 10!!!!

Interesting...

This by far a very impressive mix of techno and classical. I think this would have had better luck in the Misc. catagory (I can't zpell!!!!) The title is very fitting! It feels like one is being pressed and pressured. I can see tis fitting perfectly into a game, mostly a puzzle, a pretty difficult one too. Less repition at about 4:30 and on help this, and mayby even a heartbeat of some sort or heavy breathing (tastefuly done that is) and that would give this song a very unique feel to it.

I really like this one. Keep it up!!!!

zomgkerrie responds:

i'm still learning what would classify as what category...i don't write stuff with a specific genre in mind, so to label it afterwards is difficult for me lol. i'm glad you like the title! and yes, i know i need to do work on it towards the end....oooo, i'm liking the heartbeat idea...to really give it an urgent feel...i'll play around with it! thanks so much for the listen and review! i'm gonna go review your dunkelheit song....i meant to do that but with camden and i both being sick, it was tough!

Perfect

I can't give any critizism (or spell it, I think...) about this song. It is absolutley beautiful. This is my first song of yours to hear, and I am speachless. I can only imagine how this was made possible...

MaestroRage responds:

Aw... Thank you so much! A lot of other songs on this account are mine too, but this is the only one I've done cold-turkey by myself (well... nah, not really. Ragey gave me the thunder and rain). But the answer to your wondering is patience. Lots.. and LOTS.. and L O T S.. of patience. But thank you for your kind words, and thanks for listening!
With love,

Nice!

I must say, that was quite a different experience. It sounds great! You have a very interesting view when it comes to writing songs. Keep up the awesome work!!!

<PS>

zomgkerrie responds:

it's mah favorite penguin!!! thanks for taking the time to listen! yea i know this still needs a lot of work yet but i thought it was quite fun! i hope "interesting" is a good thing >.>

Oh My Gosh!!!

That was great!!! I really like this piece! The piano was very unexpeted and added a very nice feel to it. It was just a tad repetitive at first, but overall it was a great song, but I think it belongs more in the ambient catagory than trance because it isn't based on a heavy beat. But still, this is great! 5/5 and 9/10. Keep up the amazing work!

<PS>

zomgkerrie responds:

omg, i just have to say that your penguin makes so gosh darn happy!
you are right, ambient is probably more of an appropriate category for this, i just didn't think it through, i guess. i'm still in the process of recovering more of my songs from my bad hard drive...stupid computers >.< i agree with you completely, i need to do some more work on it to make it not as repetitive. thanks for the listen and review!!!

Woah...

If I could compare this to one of the absolute best songs on newgronds, it would be The Composer. This song...its...touching. It just, I don't know how to put it. It is like the saddest thing that has ever happened to you, but, not at the same time. This would be perfect for a scene in a movie when a loved one is lost, and no one can even bare the thought. I must say, by far the most touching thing I have ever heard, no doubt about it. Keep it up, I can't wait to see what miracle you come up with next.

<PS>

BlazingDragon responds:

The Composer was a video that inspired me very much. It is too bad that JAZZA is leaving Newgrounds for the next two years. He did some great work. :(

You might notice that this isn't my first sad song. :P I did, however, work especially hard on this to build up to a climax to add a little emotional intensity. This is because I've never been particularly good with climaxes.

Thank you for listening and reviewing. I am honored that this song has been so touching for you.

Can't Wait!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh! This is albsolutly beautiful! All that i can say, is that you could of given the last note some resonence for now. I had to take a star off for that, sorry. I can't wait for you to finish this. If there is any way you can tell me when it is finished, please do!!!!

<PS>

BlazingDragon responds:

Hey PenguinSam, glad you enjoyed it so much! If I remember, I'll shoot a PM your way as soon as it is finished. I am trying to get it finished today, but I can't make any promises.

Thanks for the review,
~Blaze

I am a young composer living in the United States. Most of my music is slow, lyrical, dark, emotional, and programatic. I however am a very upbeat and happy person. Quite the interesting contrast, isn't it?
