They need a Soundtrack genre!

Classical is the closest that you can get genre-wise here. It sounds absolutel amazing! I cannot express my gradtitude in words for someone posting such amazing music here! I could easily see this in a video game!

There is just one thing that kept me from giving you 10 stars, it doesn't loop properly. The music kinda bjakldfjskls at the end that "connects" to the begining. PLEASE fix that and PM me when you do! Of course, that might just be the fact that music doesn't aalways properly loop on the Newgrounds audio player,

This music is simply stunning! I could also see this in a movie, which is why I think they need a Soundtrack genre here at newgrounds.

Keep up the amazing work!

I agree 100%! I've created a loop-friendly version. This is loopable, but the flash player on Newgrounds doesn't always get it right. Hopefully when update the track it'll be smoother!

Thanks for your review!

Lovely

This, is just wonderful. I don't think that I have ever any video game song quite like this one. It has a lovely feel and atmosphere to it. I just can't argue with it all. I especially liked the Fairy Fountain part. I had not found someone who could remix it well, until now!

Kudos to you!

Thank You PenguinSam.
I hope I do as well with my future submissions ^_^

Inspiring!

This is what music is about. This is not some arrangement of pleasing sounds; this is what lives inside of us. This music has soul, life, love, emotion. I can only imagine how you fell. You may not consider it a masterpiece, but I certainly do. It is music like this that is so hard to come across. The pain felt when someone leaves, either by choice or by death, creates what this is.

You have just touched me and so many others on a very deep and personal level. You have created more than words can explain. Thank you, and sorry that you had to go through that pain you felt.

Everything you've said is entirely true. Music has a life of it's own, and it can spread and teach others what's put into it.

It's nice to know people can feel it so far down in them.

Nice!

I love the ideas going on here! The melody is simply amazing and you still have that wonderful percussion going on in there!

However, there were some things that could really be done to improve this a lot.

One thing is harmonization. In classical music, introducing a melody is usually done with little or no harmonization. After hearing the piano melody the second time, I was dying to hear some harmonization, but there was none! Same goes with the flutes. Harmonizing will make a nice full sound that we love to hear.

Also, whatever kept playing the chords in the background had a really harsh front attack that I think really took away from the music at times, like the flute.

At the section that starts at 1:27, the percussion was really good, but! The snare drum should have had a constant rhythm throughout all of it, like 8 8 8r 8 8 triplet16 (3 of them) 8 8. It will help give it a sort of heroic feeling that will just create this feeling of awe!

And the flute, a duet or trio would have been a fantastic addition. More harmonization!

Other than that, it sounded absolutely amazing! This is a great first classical piece! Keep it up!

Wow! Thank you very much for reviewing and for the great tips from a true mastah!!! ;D

Not bad for my first try huh ;P

Very nice!

I love how this just lets you groove along with it!

Not much to say, the music says it all by itself.

Thanks dude

Yay Pentatonics!

I love the feel to this song. It has a soundtrack tone to it that I personaly like. I can see someone talking to their kung-fu master at the Great Wall of China speaking of something. I can't tell what though, because they speak Chinese! I love the realaxing feel to it as well!

There is a lot of underappreciation for this style of music.

Oh yeah, I love the use of the pentatonic scale in this song! For all of those reading this, major and minor pentatonic scalesare the basis of eastern music while western is based of of major and minor scales with seven notes.

Good luck! I'll see you in the finals!

Phyrnna responds:

Yay for Music theory! :D
I was aiming a bit for the soundtrack feel, especially in some of the heavier parts of the song.

I'm glad that you're appreciating it. ^_^ <3

You know, I completely didn't think about the pentatonic scale that I was using in writing this. But now that you mention it, very true. This does fit that scale and I definitely make a good use of that scale. I'm glad you recognized it! :D

Good! But...

Hmm...I wanted to give this a higher score, but I couldn't. It sounds very nice and has wonderful variations, yes. However, it sounds very repetitive and a bit too empty at times for me. And some of the sounds are a bit, displeasing. This is of course to my taste though. It definately sounds italian, that's for sure! I just think, well, that it could have been better. It is really good, don't get me wrong. I just think that more could have been done.

Good luck to you, though! I am in it as well.

Ok I respect that lol

thanks 4 the review!!

SWEET!

This is so awesome! I don't know what else to say! It makes me feel worried about my chances in the contest though. Italy and Isreal both start with the letter i. That was random. Other than that though, our entries are completly different.

You got some-a spicy a-skillz here!

zomgkerrie responds:

Like which part? The sax? I'm going to notate that out anyways just for my own playing :D

I am a young composer living in the United States. Most of my music is slow, lyrical, dark, emotional, and programatic. I however am a very upbeat and happy person. Quite the interesting contrast, isn't it?
